About Becky Lyles

If you’re reading this, you’re probably like me — a lover of words. In my case, English words, as my Spanish is limited to “hola” and “donde esta el bano.” This will be a simple blog, because I’m a simple person. But I hope to offer encouragement and inspiration to writers of all genres, with a teaspoon or two of fun stirred in.

I’ve written a couple other blogs plus some articles, short stories and books. You can learn more about me and my writing at the below links.

Happy scribbles, Becky

Here’s my bio:

Rebecca Carey Lyles grew up in Wyoming, the setting for her Kate Neilson novels. She and her husband, Steve, currently live in Idaho (not to be confused with Iowa!), the beautiful state that borders Wyoming on the west. In addition to writing fiction and nonfiction, she serves as an editor and a mentor to aspiring authors and as a transition coach for women transitioning from prison to “the outside.” “Winds of Freedom” is the sequel to the award-winning first book in the Kate Neilson series, “Winds of Wyoming.”

Becky’s articles and stories have appeared in magazines and compilations. Her nonfiction books, “It’s a God Thing! Inspiring Stories of Life-Changing Friendships” and “On a Wing and a Prayer-Stories from Freedom Fellowship, a Prison Ministry,” are now available in eBook as well as paper formats. Several of her short stories can be found in “Passageways: A Short Story Collection.”
